Carl C. Bruner

Carl C. Bruner, 76, of Evansville passed away surrounded by family, on September 21, 2024. He was born August 7, 1948 in Evansville to the late Claude and Josephine (Abbott) Bruner. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 55 years, Martha Bruner; daughters, Shannon Bruner (Denny), Crystal Bruner, Angie Garrett (Joe), and Carla Bruner-Nash (Will); 13 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Carl was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Jo Washington; brothers, George Bruner and Larry Bruner; and sisters, LaWanda and Carrie Johnson. He enjoyed family cookouts, watching IU basketball and boxing with his brothers, tinkering with cars, and listening to country music. Carl loved to joke around and make us laugh with his wisecrack sayings like “move it dirtbag” and “the check is in the mail”. He will be missed tremendously by everyone who knew him. Friends and family may visit from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Rd. Evansville, IN, and from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024 at Alexander North Chapel.
