Candace "Candy" Darlene Hape

Candace D. “Candy” Hape, 71, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at Cypress Grove. She was born December 14, 1950, in Evansville, Indiana. Candy loved animals, especially dogs. She collected pictures and stuffed animals. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maurice and Mabel Hape; and brothers, Mike and Lonnie Hape. Candace is survived by her brother, Marty Hape (Trina); sister, Marsha Britt (Kenny); and nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and employees at Cypress Grove Rehabilitation Center and Southern Care Hospice for their kindness and care. She truly loved each and every one of you. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at Alexander East Chapel, officiated by Rev. Neal Hartzell, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
