Anthony P. Nellis, 58, of Evansville, passed away Friday, February 26, 2010, at his home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born August 13, 1951, in Evansville, IN.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beverly Nellis; daughter, Corey Beck (Matthew); grandson, Levi Beck; parents, Benjamin and Patricia Nellis; brothers, Mike Nellis (Sue), John Nellis (Becky), Bob Nellis (Anita), and David Nellis (Lana) all of Evansville, IN; sisters, Laura Bengert (Keith) of Wadesville, IN and Sherri Walker (Gary) of Rockport, IN; mother-in-law, Lucy Becker of Evansville, IN; 23 nieces and nephews; 18 great nieces & nephews, and 10 aunts and uncles.
Anthony was preceded in death by his sister and brother, Pam and Benjamin, Jr. and his grandparents.
Anthony graduated in 1969 from North High School. He had an Associate Degree in Photography from Ivy Tech.
Anthony worked for Audience Response Systems as a Graphic Artist prior to becoming disabled.
He had been a member of Reitz’s Big Blue Booster. He created the program book for sports events and band. He contributed his talent in graphic arts for West Terrace School.
He attended Morningside Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
His hobbies included, computer graphics, photography, and reading.
Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Messer. Friends may visit Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
