Anita Mounts

Anita Mounts, 50, of Evansville, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital. She was born in Kansas City on March 18, 1962. Anita was a member of Harwood Baptist Church. She volunteered for the Lakeview Sunday Baseball League as assistant coach for special needs players. She also helped with the Special Olympics. Anita loved to cook and enjoyed working with crafts. She was preceded in death by her son, David Burke. Anita is survived by her husband of 18 years, Kenneth B. Mounts; father, Bill Niswonger (Sharon); mother, Zelda Niswonger; daughter, Katie Burke; step-children, Kenneth B. Mounts, Jr., Russell E. Mounts, and Lisa Vinovich; sister, Laura Shuttle (George); brothers, Mike Niswonger, Ron Niswonger (Sherri); sister, Mary Rowe (Phillip); brother, Billy Niswonger (Barbara); sister, Devi Jo Sharp (Ed); granddaughter, Adrienne Burke; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Alexander North Chapel, officiated by Rev. Karl Crowe with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeview Sunday Baseball League.
