Alice Sander Hahn

Alice Marie Katherine Hahn, 101, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017. She was born December 5, 1915 to August and Clara (Reuter) Sander.
On March 20, 1937, she married Gilmore Andrew Hahn, whom she was married to for over 70 years until his passing in February of 2008. Alice and Gil were both members of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and went everywhere together. They often hosted parties for family and friends. Alice was a very organized, hard-working person. She was a wonderful homemaker and a gracious lady. She was an inspiration to a lot of people who will miss her.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Gilmore Hahn; son, Galan Hahn; sister, Ethel (Sander) Dunlap; brothers, August "Gus" and George Sander; and her parents.
She is survived by her nephew, Michael Dunlap, and his wife, Elizabeth Dunlap, who helped care for her. Alice is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Betty Sander of Evansville, IN and Jeanette Sander of St. Louis, MO; nieces and nephews, Patricia (Michael) Gossar, Kent (Deborah) Sander, Brian Sander, Scott Sander, Carla Martin, Deborah (Floyd) Hertweck and David Sander; several great-nephews and great-nieces; and grandson, Kevin (Lisa) Hahn and family.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, January 26, 2017, at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, with entombment in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Wednesday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Alexander West Chapel.
