Crystal Mae Pierce, 93, of Culpeper, VA passed away peacefully and entered into glory on August 29, 2022. She was born April 7, 1929 to Edwin Coleman and Elizabeth Muck Coleman. She is the widow of William Thomas Pierce, her husband of 68 years.
Mrs. Pierce enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and crocheting scarves for friends and family and especially for the homeless. She was an Elvis fan and loved eating dark chocolate. She was a long-time member of Culpeper Baptist Church where she worked in the Sunday School nursery for many years. She enjoyed being with family, especially her grandsons and great grandchildren.
Surviving Mrs. Pierce are her daughters Marsha Edwards (Earl) and Karen Parkinson (Geary); her beloved grandsons Travis Parkinson (Erika), Will Edwards (Erin) and Zachary Parkinson (Jaylyn); great grandchildren Avery and Olive Parkinson and Rylan, Noa and Pierce Edwards; and step-great grandchildren Makaila Brown and Emmaleigh Timmons. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her three siblings: Ruby Heiney, Dolores Thornhill and Donald Coleman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m.until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Clore-English Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Worship Center of the Culpeper Baptist Church (due to renovation of the sanctuary) with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
