Cremation to follow. Joe was a long-time resident of Northwest Indiana, known and beloved by many. He grew up in East Chicago and graduated from Bishop Noll Institute in 1977 and was heavily involved in the community. He went on to work in roles at Magic104, Shadow Traffic, and WJOB, and ran his own DJ company, Ultimate Music Service. Later, Joseph found his passion for working in schools and impacted many at Marian Catholic and most recently at Wheeler High School as their Field House Director. Joe loved working with students, challenging them in sports, and attending and announcing as many games as possible. Outside of work he loved the Chicago Cubs, Denver Broncos, and Cincinnati Bearcats, but nothing compared to his love for the game of baseball and his collection of autographed memorabilia. Most importantly Joe was a beloved family man, married to his wife Cheryl for 37 years, and would do anything out of love for his large family. He soaked up as much time as possible with them; his favorite hobby was spending quality time whether on road trips, hosting cookouts, or going to events together. Joe was always a jokester and prankster and his laughter and joy were evident to all, with that beautiful twinkle in his eye always following. Joe will be dearly missed by many.
