Gail Baeza Maravilla

Gail Baeza Maravilla (née Cosby), born January 1, 1940, in Chicago, IL, passed away on July 21, 2024, in Hobart, IN, at the age of 84. Gail was a person of warmth and humor whose loving and caring nature touched the lives of everyone around her. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, always finding joy in the laughter and happiness of her children and grandchildren. Gail found immense pleasure in the simple beauties of life. She was an avid lover of flowers and could often be found tending to her garden or watching the birds enjoy the birdbath. Her passion for travel took her to many beautiful places, each adventure adding to the tapestry of cherished memories she leaves behind. Gail is survived by her children, Kimberly Whitacre, Karen Theodoratos, Kristine Borowski, Nicholas Baeza, Brian Baeza, and Kelly Baeza. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nicholas Baeza; and her second husband, Fred Maravilla. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them for a Visitation from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 1st, 2024 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, IN 46307. A Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens.
