Henry "Chuck" Charles Alm III, age 81, of Dyer, Indiana passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Chuck was born on June 23, 1941, in Evergreen Park, IL to the late Henry Charles Alm Jr. and Betty Jane (Perry) Blank. On July 21, 1962, he married Nancy Walter.
There are so many memorable things about Chuck that his dear family and friends will miss. He had an extensive collection of patches, had award winning grass and enjoyed working in his yard. Outside of these hobbies, making memories with his family and grandkids was all that mattered.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Nancy Alm; two daughters, Lynn (Glen) Braun, Julie Alm and her significant other, Jarrett Gunn Sr., four grandchildren, Christine Braun, Jennifer (Ryan) Wasielewski, Jarrett Gunn Jr., Jacob Gunn, great-granddaughter, Addison Wasielewski, sister, Debbie (Scott) Tarnroos, along with several nieces and nephews.
Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Henry C. Alm Jr., Betty J. Blank and brother, Gilbert Blank.
A public visitation for Chuck will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 10AM to 1PM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 8178 Cline Avenue, Crown Point, Indiana 46307. A funeral service will begin at 1PM. Pastor Brian Mayo will officiate. Burial to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Garden of Inspiration.
