Steven Oliver Dill

Steven O. “Pickle” Dill, 67, of Connersville, died Wednesday morning, January 3, 2018, at Premier Healthcare in Connersville. Steven was a native of Evansville, born June 15, 1950 to Fred Earl, Sr. and Blanche C. Ellerbrook Dill. He had resided at Muscatatuck State Developmental Center in Butlerville and transferred to the Hope House Group Home in Connersville in 1996. Steven liked to watch game shows and listening to music. He especially enjoyed Dolly Parton, gospel and Christian music. Steven had a close family relationship with his fellow residents and staff at the Hope House. Steven is survived by his sister: Deborah Mount of Connersville; his nieces: Sheila Rude of Connersville who also was his guardian, Tammy Hall of Raleigh, Stacy Linderman of Milton and his sister-in-law: Debbie Davis of Milton. In addition to his parents, Steven was preceded in death by his brother, Fred B. Dill. Funeral services for Steven will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, January 8, 2018, at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville, with Rev. Richie Ware of the Higher Praise Worship Center officiating. Interment will follow in Dale Cemetery, section L. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service.
