Obituary of Sharon Kay Plummer DeMoss
Sharon Kay Plummer DeMoss, 83, of Whiteville, went to be with her Saviour and Lord on Friday, September 29, 2023, at Liberty Commons Nursing Home in Whiteville. Sharon was born on April 15, 1940, in Connersville, Indiana, to the late George Plummer and Thelma Diehlman Plummer. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William R. DeMoss and a sister, Claudia Middleton. Mrs. DeMoss was a published author in two books of poetry; an accomplished artist having won several ribbons for her paintings. Sharon also enjoyed volunteer activities with her church, hospital, and community, gardening and bowling. She was a true Patriot and loved her Country passionately. She was recognized for her dedication and countless hours supporting the troops during Operation Desert Storm. In addition to being a homemaker, Sharon was employed by GTE and as a jewelry customer service representative at Walmart. Sharon leaves behind her son, Jeffrey Dean DeMoss (Donna) of Whiteville, Rhonda Louise Pope (Bill) of Connersville, IN, Lisa Kay DeMoss of Wabash, IN; siblings, Georgia Adam (James) of Houston, TX, Brenda Plummer of Bluffton, IN; She also leaves four grandchildren and three great grandchildren whom she adored: grandchildren, Jeffrey Ryan DeMoss (Sarah), Hannah Grace DeMoss, Chelsea Kunkle (Matthew), William Reynolds (Shellee); great-grandchildren, Eleina Kunkle, Jackson DeMoss, Gavin DeMoss. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00a.m., Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at Showalter Blackwell Long, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Stan Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 5:00p.m, until 8:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Sharon's honor to https://diabetes.org.
