Gary L. Snoddy Sr.

Gary Lane Snoddy Sr., 76, of Connersville, died Sunday, May 19, 2024, at Caroleton Manor of Connersville. Gary was born August 23, 1947, to the late David and Ruth Wade Snoddy in Lexington, Kentucky. He married Georgianna Green, on June 27, 1970; they spent almost 54 years together. Gary worked at National Metal for 18 years, and then was a Truck Driver for Paul Casket Company for over 28 years. He retired in 2016 and noted ‘he had a lot of miles on his old body.’ Gary was an avid “TV/DVD movie watcher” of Blue Bloods and Chicago Fire and loved spending time with his wife, Georgianna, at Caroleton Manor. He was a dedicated spouse as Georgianna has been in the nursing home 20 years. Gary is survived by his daughter, Lori (Daniel) Adams of Fort Wayne, Indiana and son, Gary (Katherine Young) Lane Snoddy Jr. of Connersville; grandson, Breven Adams; brother, Jack Snoddy of Richmond, Indiana; sister, Marcella (Junior) Hardin of Connersville; nieces, nephews and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Clifford “Kippy” Wade. Memorial contributions may be made to: Parkview Health Foundation’s Transformative Cancer Fund. Visitation for Gary Lane Snoddy Sr, will be Tuesday, May 28, 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Showalter Blackwell Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, 920 N. Central Ave., Connersville, Indiana. Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, May 29, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior at the Funeral Home.
