Andrea Edna (Pultz) Beck, 96, of Brunswick, GA died on Friday, August 30 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. She was born in Arlington, VA, to parents, Carl Pultz and Ida (Erikson) Pultz. Later in childhood, her widowed father married Myrle Cunningham. Andrea graduated high school in Evanston, IL then after a year at Franklin College IN, she married Gerald Burdette Beck on Jan. 3, 1948. He was in the Navy several years, then became an accountant before his call to the ministry at age 35. The United Methodist churches they served were in Shirley/Wilkinson, Richland Chapel near Marion, Spiceland, Greenfield, and Fountain City, Indiana. Andrea, and her family always loved national and state parks, and visited them everywhere. A year before Gerald died of cancer in 2000, they left Indianapolis and moved to Brunswick, GA. They attended granddaughter Karen’s softball, soccer, and basketball games, and Andrea never missed her band concerts here, or others at Brevard, NC. They also played board games, and she would still watch golf, football, and Jeopardy, even with her limited eyesight in later years. Andrea is survived by her son, William Edwin Beck (Marianne Beck), of Marion, IN, daughter, Cathy Howell (Mark Howell), of Brunswick, GA, and granddaughter, Karen Howell (Anne Howell), of Jacksonville, FL.
