Rosemary Jean Kasey

Rosemary “Jean” Kasey, 89, of Clarksville, Indiana died Friday, January17, 2020, at University Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Jean was born in Columbus, Indiana March 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Claude and Lillie Hoagland Griffin. She married Reginald Kasey October 22, 1971 in Louisville; he preceded her in death December 30, 1985. She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and was named a Kentucky Colonel. When she was 8 years old she won the Kentucky State Spelling Bee. She had a degree in accounting and before her retirement was an executive secretary and accountant. She loved to sew, read and do crafts and never missed Jeopardy. She is survived by her children, Deborah K. Nichols of Clarksville, Beverly S. Taft of Louisville, Keith Schuler of Louisville, Cynthia (Tim) Felton of Harrisburg, NC, Melody Webb of Louisville and Cindee Kasey of Lakeland, FL; adopted in love, Devon Rightly Tucker and Jim Nichols; 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Reginald; 1 grandchild; 2 brothers; 3 sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Hathaway~Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Brother Jeff Price officiating. There will be no calling hours prior to the service.
