Mrs. Harriette W Wheatley

Harriette Witten Wheatley, 69, of Charlottesville, VA went to be with our Lord on September 3, 2022 surrounded by her family after a 14-month battle with cancer. Harriette was born March 6, 1953 in Charlottesville to Henry Calvert Witten and Betty Lou Witten. Harriette is survived by her mother Betty Lou Witten, husband David Bryan Wheatley, sister Ann Keeling Witten Armstrong, daughter Lindsey Wheatley Sites, son Matthew Witten Wheatley, 10 grandchildren and countless friends. Her father Henry Calvert Witten preceded Harriette in death. Harriette graduated in 1971 from Culpeper County High School, and then attended the University of Virginia graduating with her Bachelor’s in Nursing in 1975. She worked her 40 plus year nursing career at the University of Virginia Hospital before retiring in 2019. Harriette loved Jesus and her family fiercely. She also loved the beach, going to yard sales with her friends, music and the holidays. She was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother. Her smile was infectious, and her love will be felt forever. A Celebration of Harriette’s life will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at 10:00 am at Teague Funeral Service, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
