Beverly Jean Schmidt

Beverly Jean Schmidt peacefully left us to be in the presence of Jesus on August 27, 2015. Born August 9, 1931 and married to the late Harold Gustaf Schmidt of Waukegan, Illinois for over 50 years. Bev’s brightest accomplishment is raising her children to know Jesus as their Savior and be productive members of our society, live responsibly and love others. Bev also worked as a secretary for her father Jack Emerick of Waukegan, IL and other establishments. She worshipped at Immanuel Church in Gurnee, IL and found Portico Church in Charlottesville, VA to be her church home of worship. She consistently leaned on our Lord for her cares and needs. She loved to laugh, play games, bridge club, square dance, and avidly watch the Chicago Bears, Bulls, Hawks, and Cubs on TV. She is survived by her three children Jack Schmidt, wife Mary Ellen, of Boca Raton FL, Susan Schmidt of Gurnee, IL, Jim Schmidt, wife Melissa, of Charlottesville, VA and six grandchildren (Eric, Brad and Jeff Schmidt, John Schmidt, and Derek and Patrick Schmidt).
