Betty Frances Rogers

Betty Frances Rogers of Charlottesville went home to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ and her loved ones on March 27, 2023 with her family by her side. Betty was born on August 24,1933 to the late Minor and Margret Garrison of White Hall Va. Betty proceeded in death by her loving husband of 54 years Printes Roger, daughter Diane Rose Rogers, brothers, Grady Garrison, Edward Garrison and Richard Garrison, Grandson’s Nicholas Rogers and Jayson Carr Smith and great-great granddaughter Lily Woodson and daughter-in law Sandra Rogers. She is survived by her sons Gary Rogers, Mark Rogers fiancé Gen Gursky, daughters Mary and her husband Thomas Shaver, Bonnie and her husband Warren Tomlin, and Barbara Rogers Four Grandchildren, Sherrie Woodson and her fiancé Shawn Gentry, Jason and wife Kerry Smith, Tracy and her husband Billy Fitzgerald and Nicholas Rogers, sister Cora Gibson, and brother Paul Garrison. She was blessed to have Seven great grand-children, thirteen great-great grandchildren. Betty made a career of doing something she loved which was being a mom. During the course of 50 years of babysitting she raised over 200 plus children during her life of babysitting. She made everyone feel welcome in her home from offering them a meal at the table, or just sitting on the porch swing drinking coffee and sharing stories with them. Betty who was known as "Grandma", "Grandma Betty", and "Bet-Bet" to all children she took care of. Betty enjoyed spending hours on her iPad getting Hugs, Kisses, and FaceTime from her great-great grandchildren later in life. She will be missed by ALL. The family will receive friends on Friday March 31, 2023 at Teague Funeral Home from 6-8pm. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Belmont Baptist Church at 11:00 am follow by a graveside committal at Oakwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers a contribution can be made to her family.
