OBITUARY
Patricia June Burns Leach
May 31, 1929 – September 2, 2015
Patricia June Leach, age 86, of Bloomington, died Wednesday morning at her residence. Born May 31, 1929 in Bloomington, she was the daughter of Roy E. and Bertha (Hacker) Burns. She worked in Bloomington doing land abstract researching before retirement. She was a long time member of Fairview United Methodist Church and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband, William Earl Leach, whom she married on February 26, 1949; one son, Gary (Rachael E.) Leach, of Bloomington; one daughter, Linda Robertson, of Bloomington; two granddaughters, Jessica Lynn (Dirk Taylor) Leach, of Chesterton, Indiana and Jacqueline Suzanne (James) Hinson, of Maryville, Missouri; two great-grandchildren Trey Bradley Griffin and Hunter Scott Leach and one on the way, John Robert Hinson; six sisters-in-law, Dorothy “Dot Ann” Burns, of Gosport and Martha Dell Fiscus, Dorothy (Glen) Dillman, Elaine Leach, of Bloomington and Shirley Leach, all of Bloomington and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Lee “Bud” Burns and Wallace Ray “Bob” Burns and one brother in infancy and two sisters, Dorothy E. Burns and Marguerite G. Fuller.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the Fairview United Methodist Church with Rev. Douglas Simpson officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Friday (09/04) from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene and Harrell Chapel; 700 W. Gourley Pike.
