.Mary Crawford Parker, 92, of Bloomington, went to be reunited with her husband on June 9, 2016. Life was not the same without her beloved Gene who passed on April 17, 2016.
She was born to James and Virgie Crawford on July 24, 1923. Mary lived her entire life in Bloomington, enjoying family, friends and sharing her great sense of humor. From playing softball as a young girl, to working 20 plus years at Zarkes Tarzians manufacturing plant to Indiana University Inventory Control, Mary filled her life with love and laughter and family. For seventy-three years Gene and Mary waltzed their way through life. Now they can dance together forever.
Mary is preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Gene, her father and mother, four sisters: Alice Crippen, Katie Flick, Emmabell Shields, Ruth Elliott and a baby brother.
She is survived by her two sons: Prentiss Parker(Vickie) and James Parker(Marlyn), two grandchildren: Heather Allen(Brian) and Scott Pennington(Ashley), two step-grandchildren: Deanna Foddrill and Kristy Foddrill and four great-grandchildren: Mitch, Ruby, Lily and Haylee and three step-great grandchildren: Parker, Brandon and Brianna.
Visitation for Mary will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4-8 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W. Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. also in the funeral home. Entombment to follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens.
