Cheryl Ann Burgess

Cheryl Ann Burgess died unexpectedly at her home in Bloomington on February 13, 2019. Cheryl was born in Portsmouth, Ohio to the late Leslie and Marjorie (Tilley) Burgess. Bloomington has been her home for the last 39 years. Cheryl was a spunky firecracker who lived her life on her own terms. She was devoted to her family and was ahead of her time, a single mother who was the epitome of a strong independent woman. Cheryl was a devoted employee of Indiana University for over 21 years and will be greatly missed. Cheryl is survived by her son: Danny Kevin Burgess, six siblings: Teresa Koontz-Dalton, Leslie Burgess, Ricky Burgess, Shadrick Burgess, Melissa Bass, Jeremiah Burgess. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will cherish her memory. Visitation for Cheryl will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W.
