Beverly Joan Thompson

Beverly Joan Thompson, age 89, of Bloomington died Sunday afternoon (10/27/19) at I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born August 2, 1930, she was the daughter of Edward Harold and Bonnie Grace (Hendricks) Thompson. Beverly worked at General Electric for several years where she was a stockhandler. She loved gardening and yard work and had a marvelous “green thumb”. She enjoyed boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing and camping. Beverly is survived by her very good friend, Betty M. Roberts, of Bloomington and a nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Donald Thompson in 2016. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday at the Day & Deremiah-Frye Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Douglas officiating. Burial will follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to the Monroe County Humane Association.
