Julie Mullins Mayhew

Julie Mullins Mayhew, 52, of Bassett VA passed away November 26th at Sovah Health Martinsville. She is survived by her husband Jerry Mayhew of the home, daughters Tabetha (Brock) and Ashley Young of Ferrum, Lisa Harris (Caleb) of Ferrum, 6 grandchildren, sister Janie Hutchens (Jeremy) of Bassett, brother Dennis Mullins (Melissa) of Bassett, Danny Mullins of Henry, Bobby Mullins of Bassett, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, Aunts and Uncles, step- children, step-grandchildren and special Grand-dog, Lulu. Julie was born February 1, 1970 to the late Buddy Mullins and Connie McNeil Mullins of Henry. She was proceeded in death by her parents, maternal Grandparents Hunter & Grace McNeil of Evington and paternal Grandparents George Dewey & Doris Mullins of Henry. Julie loved to cook and enjoyed the holidays with her family. She was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. She had a wonderful smile, and could always make you laugh when you needed it. She loved music and loved to dance. She came from a very musically talented family. She will be missed by so many friends and family. The family will hold a visitation at Collins, McKee-Stone Funeral Home in Bassett on Friday, December 2nd from 5-7 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the funeral home directly to help cover funeral expenses.
