Hazel M Vaughn

Hazel M. Vaughn, age 78, was born September 26, 1944 in Bassett, Virginia and passed away on Sunday, April 30, 2023.She was was the daughter of the late Harry Mitchell and Rachel Shelton Mitchell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Troy Mitchell. She was a graduate of Bassett High School and retired from the Virginia Public Defenders office. Mrs. Vaughn is survived by her husband of 60 years, Dean Vaughn, one daughter, Kristi Metty (Bob); one son, Mitch Vaughn (Rachel); five granddaughters, Kayla Christopher (Jason), Kara Metty, Klaire Metty, Kacey Metty and Kailynn Parks; one grandson, Trey Metty and two great grandsons, Jake and Ethan Christopher.
