Obituary of Jeanette Seay Brown
Jeanette Seay Brown, 82, of Doswell, VA passed away peacefully in her home and re-ceived her heavenly reward on July 14, 2024. Jeanette was born on June 15, 1942 in Virginia to James Henry Seay, Sr. and Marguerite Wiltgen Seay. Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, George Frederick Brown, her sisters Eleanor Truslow and Irene Truslow, and brother James Seay, Jr. Jeanette spent over three decades as the business manager at WRVA Radio, as well as other sister stations in the Richmond market. She also held many other administrative positions throughout her career. Jeanette will be most remembered for her unwavering love for the Lord, and enjoyed singing/traveling with various gospel groups, including The Chapel Singers, The Firetower Quartet, and His Way. Jeanette was a member of Ashland Church of God where she participated in the Victory Voice choir. Most recently she attended Bethpage Christian Church in Mineral, Virginia until she was unable due to her declining health. She also loved her cats dearly and regularly left food on the porch for any other critters who wandered by. Jeanette is survived by her beloved godson Wade Stanley (Connie), sister-in-law Cynthia Seay, long-time friend Nancy Newsome, as well as many nieces and nephews. Jeanette’s warm and compassionate spirit touched so many lives and she will be greatly missed. The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 23 from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at Bethpage Christian Church, 4491 Fredericks Hall Rd, Mineral, VA 23117. Interment will follow at 12:30 at King's Chapel Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 13346 W. Patrick Henry Rd, Doswell, VA 23047. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jeanette's memory to the Bethpage Christian Church 4491 Fredericks Hall Road Mineral, Virginia 23117
