Susan Dewar Zajac

On Friday June 7, 2013, Susan Dewar Zajac of Arlington, Virginia, beloved wife of the late Leo W. Zajac, passed away. She is survived by daughter, Andrea and son, Kim Zajac (Susana). She was a graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst and earned her Master at Virginia Tech. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Susan Zajac was a long time Arlington County resident. She had over 30 years working for Arlington County Public School System. She first worked as Volunteer Coordinator and then retired as Home Economics teacher from Swanson Middle School. She continued to provide many services and volunteer in the school system even after retirement. She was very active in several community organizations which included NEA, Arlington Retired Teachers Association, AAUW, Community of 100, Potomac Home Economist and Creative Problem Solving Institute as well as many other. The family will receive friends at Murphy's Funeral Home 4510 Wilson Blvd. Arlington, VA. on Saturday June 15, 2013, from 10am -12pm and 3pm to 5pm. Services will be held at Arlington Forest United Methodist Church 4701 Arlington Blvd. Arlington, VA. on Sunday June 16, 2013, at 3pm. A reception will follow immediately after the service at the Church. The interment will take place on Monday June 17, at 12 noon at Quantico National Cemetery.
