Grace B Skelly

On Friday, February 3, 2017, Grace Bottine Skelly of Alexandria, Virginia, passed away peacefully at the age of 87. She was born on January 8, 1930, in New York City, where she was raised and attended Cathedral H.S. and the College of New Rochelle. She married Charlie Skelly, the love of her life, in 1951. She and her family moved to Euclid, Ohio, before settling in Alexandria in 1962. She worked in the business office at Bishop Ireton H.S. as a volunteer and later as an employee for nearly 30 years, before retiring in 2003. She is survived by four children, Barbara (Bea), Paul (Nancy), David (Cathy) and Laura (Tony), as well as 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was a lady of great warmth, intelligence and charm who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. The Visitation will be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday February 14, 2017 at Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on February 15, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Alexandria. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bishop Ireton H.S. or a charity of your choice.
