In loving memory of Cameron Stone Pattisall, who passed away October 4, 2024, at the age of 30. Cameron will be profoundly missed by his loving family, his many friends and his entire community. He leaves behind his parents, Mike and Ellen Pattisall, his siblings, Caileigh Pattisall and Oliver Bates and family, his paternal grandparents, Doris and Ray Newton, his aunts, Linda Smith, Barbara Cassada, Melanie Pattisall, and Kim Palmer, as well as many dear cousins and friends. Cameron was born in Alexandria, Virginia. He attended Valley Drive Preschool, Cora Kelly Elementary, GW Middle School and TC Williams High School. While at TC, Cameron rowed for the men’s varsity crew team winning two state championships. He rowed for Old Dominion Boat Club's select team as well. Cameron attended Ohio University University in Athens, Ohio, where he graduated with degrees in computer science and mathematics. Cameron returned to Alexandria and worked as a development operations engineer for Fonteva in Arlington, VA. Sadly, Cameron suffered a devastating anoxic brain injury after cardiac arrest on February 18, 2017. He fought hard to recover for nearly 8 years but ultimately succumbed to his injury. Cameron will be remembered as a hilarious, irreverent and incredibly smart guy, who was fiercely loyal to his friends. He was passionate about music, playing the bass guitar and creating electronic dance music. He loved to travel and visited Hamburg, Amsterdam, Barcelona and Bathe as well as locations in the US. Cameron was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Harry Pattisall, his maternal grandparents, Harold and Joyce Cassada and his uncles, Rick Cassada, Randy Cassada and Barry Smith. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Good Shepherd, Lutheran Church at 100 W. Luray Ave., Alexandria, VA, 22301. A reception will follow the service.
