History

In 1988, the Heather family opened Heather Mortuary & Chapel on River Road in Tucson, Arizona. Prior to establishing the Tucson location, the family operated another funeral home in Lordsburg, New Mexico. Harber Jack Heather and his son, Jack Heather, opened the Tucson location before relocating to its current address on Columbus Boulevard. See MoreSee Less

In December 1992, Heather Mortuary & Chapel became a member of the Dignity Memorial network of funeral, cremation and cemetery providers. In 1995, founder Harber Jack Heather passed away, leaving behind a legacy of compassionate care in the community.

The funeral home merged with Desert Rose Cremation & Burial in April 2013 and is now known as Desert Rose Heather Cremation & Burial.
