Robert (Bob) Joseph Palencar passed away in his home on May 15, 2022 surrounded by family and friends. Bob was born on January 10, 1933 in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania. He married Carol Ann Smail on March 18, 1978. Bob and Carol spent the remainder of their lives together.
He graduated from Coughlin High School in 1951 and attended Kings College in Wilkes Barre, Pa. He joined the Air Force on April 8, 1953 where he traveled the world flying various aircraft. He retired from the United States Air Force as a Lieutenant Colonel on May 1, 1973
After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for EF Hutton and owned a Coors Beer distribution center for a short period before starting a successful Molding and Millwork distribution business with his brother Joe.
Bob had a very inviting personality, great story teller, great sense of humor and made friends with everyone he met. He was a fisherman from childhood through his entire life and was an expert fly fisherman. He spent many years at his second home in Teton Valley Idaho fishing all the rivers in the region with his brother Joe and countless friends. He was equally as passionate towards golf; he was a member of Kingsmill for decades and also a member at Bay Hill in Orlando for years.
Bob is survived by his wife, Carol, daughter Donna Michelle Felch, Tommy Felch, brother Joseph Palencar (and wife, Jean) and four nephews, Michael, David (and wife, Gloria), Joseph (and wife Sarah) and James.
