It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Lori Kay (Bowden) Blotzer, 60, of Toano, Va. Lori Kay passed away surrounded by family on Sunday, December 10, 2023.
She was a lifelong resident of the Williamsburg area, having graduated from Lafayette High in 1982. She dedicated her life to raising her children, and after they had grown, she provided in home childcare for many dear friends and family. She loved watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, going to the beach, and watching it snow. She had an incredible sense of humor and a heart of gold.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Blotzer; son, Ryan Bowden and wife, Jennifer; daughter, Erica Porter and husband, Tony; daughter, Taylor Aldridge and husband, Chris; daughter, Madison Blotzer and partner, TJ Laarhoven; her grandchildren, Knox, Easton, Greyson, Ryland, Brody and Tulsa; her daddy, John H. Bowden; brothers, Michael Bowden and Derek Bowden; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mom, Nellie “Linda” Bowden, and sister, Kim St. Pierre.
A service will be held at Nelsen Funeral Home on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at 3pm, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
