Frances Brankley Whitaker

Frances Brankley Whitaker of Williamsburg, VA, died on November 30, 2016. She was born on March 18, 1922 in Mecklenburg County, VA to the late Lynn and Estelle Brankley. She was predeceased by her husband, Floyd (Sam) Whitaker; brothers, H.D., Floyd, Joe and Mac Brankley; sisters, Margaret Burton, Bettie Barnes, and Eunice Currin. Survivors include her daughter, Peggy Manger; granddaughters, Melissa and Katie Manger, great grandchildren, Jaikobie and Tiante; sisters, Neva Parker and Shirley Vaughn; and sisters-in-law, Dot and Trudy Brankley. She was a member of the Williamsburg United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1-3PM at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg, VA. A service will be held Sunday, December 4, at 3pm at the funeral home. Interment will be at Williamsburg Memorial Park, on Monday, December 5 at 10 am.
