Betty June Holloman

Betty Spurgeon Holloman, age 76, a resident of Patriots Colony in Williamsburg, VA, died on February 13, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Neoma Spurgeon. Betty was born in Chilhowie, VA, graduated from Chilhowie High School and received a BS in Economics from Emory and Henry College. Betty married Earl Holloman, an Army careerist, in 1960 and enjoyed the rich and interesting life as an Army wife. She lived in the Washington DC area from 1973 through 2004 prior to retiring to Williamsburg, VA. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, LTC (Ret.) Earl Holloman, a son, Larry, of Alexandria, VA, and a son, Eric, of Virginia Beach, VA. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, February 19 at 11am, at Patriots Colony, 6200 Patriots Colony Drive, Williamsburg, VA 23188. A graveside service will be held following the service, at Peninsula Memorial Park, 12750 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23606 with Bishop Thomas Cottle officiating.
