Shirley Ann Smith

Shirley Ann Grant Smith, 83, of Waynesboro passed away Friday, November 20, 2015 at her residence. She was born in Amherst County, Virginia on July 24, 1932, a daughter of the late Paul Graves and Pauline Davis Grant. Shirley retired from DuPont in 1991 after 30 years of services. She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Survivors include her daughter, Ann Grant Neff; two grandchildren, Brittney Ann Neff and James Paul Neff; former son-in-law, Jeffrey Allen Neff; as well as numerous extended family members. A graveside service will be conducted at 2p.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Riverview Cemetery with The Reverend Alan Kim Webster officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to service at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. The family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Homestead and Hospice of the Shenandoah for the loving care of Shirley.
