Ronald E. (Tater) Toler

Ronald E. Toler (Tater), of 57 Mill Creek Lane, left peacefully his earthly body to be with the Lord on April 20, 2014 at Augusta Health. He was born May 14, 1939 a son of the late Samuel Raymond Toler and Racie Carter Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Toler. Ronnie served 3 years in the United States Army stationed in Germany. He retired from Industrial Fabricators and was a dedicated Loving husband, dad, papaw, and friend. He loved riding his golf cart, gardening, canning, butchering, hanging out at his building with friends and being with his devoted dog Ruby. Survivors include his loving wife of 48 years, Linda Rae Toler, two daughters; Ronenia and husband Jon Painter, Renee and husband Lane Dedrick, two sons; R. T. Toler and fiancée Tina, Dereck Toler and fiancée Dawn, and a loving sister, Phyllis and husband Chuck Groah, grandchildren; Amanda, Nathanial, Kayley, Tannah, Josh, Sa’Hara, Ethan, Chase, Shianna, Kyler, Kaleb, Kimber and Michael. He also leaves behind Scottie Lunsford whom he thought of as a son, and his good friends Mozell and Maynard. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Sherando United Methodist Church by Pastor Richard Peters. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by American Legion Post 340. Active pallbearers will be Scottie Lunsford, Travis Reed, Butch Brown, Ethan Toler, Tony Cook and Clyde Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayley Katherman, Shianna Toler, Sa’Hara Toler, Tannon Toler, Amanda Dawson and Brandi Farris. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 PM Thursday at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
