Charlotte (Davis) Campbell

Charlotte Campbell, 91, of Waynesboro passed away early Sunday, January 29, 2017 at Avante. She was born May 22, 1925 in the Stony Creek area of Nelson County, the daughter of the late Sheffy Lee and Robbie Thompson Davis. Charlotte was a homemaker and a member of West Waynesboro Church of Christ. She was active in her children’s school activities, in the church women’s circles and Sunday school. She and her husband loved square dancing, traveling together and just living in the beautiful area of Waynesboro and Nelson County. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Landieth Carroll Campbell, three brothers and ten sisters. Survivors include her son, Lanny Campbell and his wife, Karla of Waynesboro; daughters, Trudy Nix and her husband, Ray of Houston, Texas and Kim Cook and friend, Frank Duff of Waynesboro; grandchildren, Jason Campbell and his wife, Nycol, Brian Cook and his wife, Sherry, Michael Cook, Andrew Nix and Jennifer Nix; great grandchildren, Hattie Campbell, Finn Campbell, Nathaniel Cook and Peyton Cook; brother, Kenneth Davis of Stuarts Draft. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Beech Grove Christian Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
