Walter Lane Hubbard

Walter Lane Hubbard, 65, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2024 with loving family by his side. He was born on March 9, 1959 to Julius Lane Hubbard and Patricia Anne Hubbard. Walter was born in New Jersey and lived in Greece for some time while his father served in the United States Navy. He grew up in the Hampton Roads area where he developed a passion for the outdoors, gardening, landscaping and being on the water whether it be fishing, boating, tubing or lounging which he loved sharing with his family and friends. Walter was a hard worker who was dedicated to his faith and his family. He is survived by his daughter, Christine René Pfrimmer and her husband Joe; and son, Ryan Lane Hubbard; brothers, Chris Lawson and wife Sonya, Gerald Lawson and wife Wendy, Joe Lawson; sister, Theresa Scovill and husband Sam; former wife Beverly Ann Covey; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Walter was preceded in death by his father and mother Julius Lane and Patricia Anne Hubbard; sister Cheryl Hubbard Boudreaux as well as paternal relatives Aunt Virginia and Uncle Marion Odom. A Memorial Service will be held on July 28, 2024 at 4pm at Coastal Community Church in Virginia Beach, 2800 S. Independence Blvd., Virginia Beach VA 23456.
