Robin Richard Laskowski

Robin Richard Laskowski, 69, died on Saturday, October 15, 2022 surrounded by family after a brief battle with leukemia. Robin, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, was a man of integrity and clever humor, who earned profound respect from all who knew him. Robin is survived by his loving wife Kathryn; his children Karen Bradford (Justin), Kevin (Allison), and Brian (Sam); and his grandchildren Theo, Zeke, Gabriel, and Gemma, as well as his extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents Floryan and Virginia, his brother Robert, and grandson Jace. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia, and attended Norfolk Catholic High (where he met his wife) and Old Dominion University. After 42 years at Plasser American, he retired as Vice President. Robin loved traveling abroad, but his heart was always close to home. As a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, he served as chair of the Finance Council. An avid outdoorsman, he was a volunteer for 17 years as a Trail Overseer with the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club where he maintained a two and a half mile portion of the Trail. He and his wife visited Colonial Williamsburg for over 50 years and were longtime supporters. Some of his most beloved times were spent in the Outer Banks with his family. Sadly, Robin is no longer eating Tex-Mex in Austin, walking Duke of Gloucester Street in Williamsburg, or enjoying the views in Corolla. We trust he now travels in love on new roads with more glorious views. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club or the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.
