Peter Jerome Taylor

Peter Jerome Taylor, 74, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2018. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his parents Dallas Lee Taylor and Helen Harper Taylor; sister Ina Buffkin. Beloved husband of 38 years to Charlotte Taylor; caring stepfather to David Dooley and Karen Batsford. Pete graduated from Norview Highschool in 1964. He was employed by Leggett department stores for 25 years and later retired as a groundskeeper with the City of Virginia Beach. Pete was an avid gardener, loved nature and listening to music. He was a lover of animals especially his many cats. He will be deeply missed by family and friends. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The Norfolk SPCA. Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel is handling arrangements.
