Louise "Ma" Elizabeth Butler

Louise "Ma" Elizabeth Butler, 79, passed away on February 12, 2021. She was born in Norfolk, VA to the late Louis and Wessie Griffin. Ma was a descendent of the lighthouse keepers. She was an independent, strong willed, and determined woman, yet very caring, loving, and compassionate. Ma always looked out for everyone else. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home and family. When she was younger she enjoyed bowling, camping, and boating. Ma was predeceased by a sister, Sylvia Heisser. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 40 years, Sammy "Pa" Butler; 3 children, Kris Smiley (David), Gary Daughety (Vonnie), and Michelle Watson; 2 brothers, Ronnie Griffin (Lee) and Rodney Griffin; sister Barbara Ferrell (Harrell); 2 grandkids, Jennifer and Ashley; and 4 great grandkids. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in Rosewood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G.
