Joyce L. “Sue” Allgood Sue Allgood 79. Our beloved left this world and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on March 26, 2011. She was born Dec. 31, 1931 and raised in Norfolk, VA. She retired from Sear’s and continued to spend time with her fellow retirees. She was devoted to her family, friends and her volunteer service and continuous support for her Norfolk Fire Family. She enjoyed playing cards with her bridge friends and her passion in life was cooking for family and friends. Sue’s spirit and impressions lives on in each one of us who was blessed to know her. Left to cherish her memory is her husband and best friend of 62 years Lloyd “Bud” Allgood; sons Lloyd C. “Bucky” Allgood of Tallahasse, Fla., Richard F. Allgood of Norfolk, David E. and his wife Punkin Allgood of Chesapeake, Va. Seven grandchildren; Owen Alcorn, Melissa Eastman, Tamela White, Michael David Shable, Chip and his wife Christal Kyper, Gary Lane and Davey Allgood. Three great grandchildren; Lev Eastman, KayLee and Kendall Kyper. She was preceded in death by her “cherished grandson” Jason Allgood Her family would like to give special thanks to Kathy and Bobby Walker for their love and devotion. A funeral will be conducted at 2:00 pm Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home by The Rev. Dr. Leroy Briggs, Senior Police Chaplain and Jeffrey F. Wise, Norfolk Fire Chief. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday evening from 6-8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made through the Norfolk Fire Credit Union to the Fire Fighters Children’s Burn Camp or a donation of your choice.
