John Gino Bosnengo, 76, passed away on May 4, 2013.
Mr. Bosnengo was born on September 29, 1936 in New Bedford, Mass. He was preceded in death by a son David Bullock and grandson Gary E. Beaver.
Mr. Bosnengo retired as a Chief Master at Arms with the U.S. Navy after twenty-five years of service. He also retired from Civil Service as Naval Base Police Officer at Norfolk Naval Base and Little Creek Amphibious Base and Utility Specialist at Little Creek Amphibious Base. He was a member of G.W.R.R.A., N.R.A., F.R.A., V.F.W., Fraternal Order of Police, USS Iwo Jima Association and the Yager Association. He attended Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel.
Survivors include his loving wife of forty-nine years, Judith A. Bosnengo, a daughter Robin Barnes and husband Edward, (Rudy), a son Anthony J. Bosnengo, three granddaughters Stephannie Esquivel and husband Jesse III, Jennifer Elrod and fiancé Brandon, Kristen Barnes and fiancé Travis, six great grandchildren Dylan Elrod, Ethan Esquivel, Talan Elrod, Ayden Baggett, Jesse Esquivel IV and Madison Edwards, a sister Beverly Smith and husband Robert and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of Mr. Bosnengo’s life will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, 1:00 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel.
