Gayle Williams Wyss

Gayle Williams Wyss, 70, of Virginia Beach, passed away on Monday, January 2nd, 2023. She was born in Norfolk, on September 11, 1952, to Marian and Stanley Williams. Gayle graduated from Granby High School where she met her future husband and the love of her life, Paul G. Wyss. They were married for 52 years. Gayle was a Pharmacy Technician for well over 40 years, having worked for Revco, Eckerd, Rite Aid, and PharMerica. A life-long resident of Hampton Roads, she loved the beach and going on cruises with her beloved husband and cherished friends. Gayle was also an animal lover, providing a loving home for many four-legged family members during her life. A naturally giving person, Gayle was known for her big heart, quick wit, and occasionally, her sharp tongue. She is survived by her husband, Paul, her sons, Arnold and Jason, and her grandchildren, Kelsey, Nolan, Casey, Hannah, and Virginia. The memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 11, at 6:30 p.m. at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23462. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Gayle’s name to Hope for Life Rescue, a shelter for special-needs animals, abandoned, neglected, and abused street animals.
