Edwin Samuel "Sam" McCrickard, Jr.

Edwin Samuel "Sam" McCrickard, Jr., of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2024 following a brief hospitalization. He was predeceased by his parents, Edwin S. McCrickard, Sr. and Jeanine N. McCrickard of Lynchburg Virginia. He is survived by his wife, Nerisa, his son, Bryce and his brother, Greg McCrickard. Sam was a longtime employee of the Virginia Public School systems where he served as a School Psychologist. He loved his job and working with students to help them reach their full potential. A Graduate of Virginia Tech, Sam was a lifelong Hokie sports fan and enjoyed traveling to Football games to cheer on the team. He was a loving Father and husband and will be dearly missed by his family. Services will be private.
