Doris Ann Young

Doris Ann Young, 79, passed away on February 13, 2023. She was born in Baltimore, MD to the late Charles and Mary Wirth. Doris was a Master Porcelain Doll Artisan and worked for Bill's Ceramics for over 20 years. She was a member of the Doll Dreamer's Club. Doris loved to play Bingo, go to lunch with the ladies and spend time with her grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 62 years, Roger Young, Sr.; 3 sons, Roger Jr., Steven and Joseph; 7 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 PM on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, 4889 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
