Donald Hugh Grider

Donald Hugh Grider, age 79, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023. Mr. Grider was born in Alabama on April 4, 1943. He was preceded in death by his parents John Grider Jr and Estelle Burton Grider. He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Chief Petty Officer and from the Newport News Naval Shipyard. Survivors include his loving wife Manolia "Maggie" Grider; two daughters Barbara Raby and Sandy Coble; a son Christopher Grider and his wife Michelle; 7 grandchildren Philip Jenkins, Tyler Raby, Nicholas Raby, Liliane Coble, Hayley Lawrence, Chaiyah Grider and Nicole Grider. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2:00 p.m. at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
