Alice Hendricks Taplin

Alice Marie Hendricks Taplin, 81, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on September 17, 2018. She was born on May 8, 1937 to the late Rev. Charles T. and Edna Hendricks in Norfolk, VA. She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Vernon S. Taplin; son, Vernon S. Taplin II; sister, Edna Rose Hendricks; and brother, Thomas Lee Hendricks. Alice was a graduate of Princess Anne High School Class of 1956, and attended Woodland Heights Baptist Church. She was a hairdresser and the President of Taplin Electric Company. She is survived by her son Bruce Wayne Taplin and his wife Melissa Lewis Taplin; granddaughter, Rachel Nicole Taplin; and two nephews, Thomas Lee and James Michael Hendricks.
