Nora Belle Travelstead

Nora Belle Travelstead, 86 Passed away peacefully November 14th, 2024 In her home surrounded by family and friends. Nora was born November 28th, 1937 in Terre Haute, IN To Homer Bose, and Nora Bell (Vess) Bose. She is survived by her husband Charles Travelstead Jr, sons Danny (Kathy), Charles”Mike”(Tonie), and a daughter Lisa(George). She had six grandchildren, Michelle, Chris (Liz), Danny Jr (Mary), Jordan, Aaron Hoffmann (Sarah), and Ashton Cuffman (Ryan). She had 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 sisters, 3 brothers, 2 great grandchildren, and several cousins, aunts and uncles. Nora was a huge fan of Elvis Presley and was excited that she got to see him in concert at Hulman Center in 1975. She also visited Graceland after Elvis death. She collected a lot of memorabilia over several years. She enjoyed visits from her family especially during the holidays. And making her Peanut Butter Fudge and Christmas cookies for her family and friends. One of her favorite traditions was to watch Santa come to Town during the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. Nora and Charlie own a 57 Chevy Bel Air that they drove to the James Dean Festival with their Car Club friends for several years. That was her favorite car. She loved animals. She had several pets throughout the years that she loved and spoiled. I would like to give special thanks to friends and family who prayed with Nora, brought her flowers, sent several cards and took the time to check on her. The Dixon family, Michael and Pamela Blade, Cathy Batchelor (Danny), Julie Price, Kim Pine (Mike), and Ruth Alexander. Services will be held at Roselawn Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 20th, 2024. Visitation is 11:00 to 1:00. Service at 1:00 following visitation.
