Jerry Lou Jeffers, 82, of Terre Haute, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, January 29, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1940, in Terre Haute to Jerrold Max and Martha Jane (Byler) Tarrh.
Jerry is survived by her children: James (Joni) Hubbs of Terre Haute, William (Catherine) Hubbs of Penn Valley, CA, John (Carrie) Hubbs of Terre Haute, and Cindy (Gary) Blanton of Terre Haute; grandchildren, James (Frances) Hubbs, Ashley (Ryan) Wehrmeyer, Will Hubbs, and Jessica (Jacob) Gay; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Wehrmeyer and Everett James Hubbs; brothers, Jerry Max (Betty) Tarrh, Richard (Debby) Tarrh, and Robert Tarrh; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald E. Jeffers; and siblings, Loretta Tarrh, Sharon Mikutis, and William Tarrh.
Jerry worked as an LPN at Union Hospital in Clinton and was the charge nurse at Meadows Manor North. She enjoyed volunteering at Rio Grande Elementary School, Lighthouse Mission, and as a CASA Advocate. Jerry also enjoyed writing, authoring two children’s books during her life. She enjoyed gardening, cookouts, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from noon until 2 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2023 at Roselawn Funeral Home. A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, at the funeral home. Jerry will be laid to rest in Roselawn Memorial Park. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.roselawnfuneralhome.net
