Mary Ann McCracken, 34, of Staunton, Virginia, passed away on August 27, 2020 after a life-long battle with heart disease. Mary Ann was born on March 8, 1986, to Charles and Sarah McCracken in East Ridge, Tennessee.
She loved attending classes at Blue Ridge Community College where she was studying art and business.
Mary Ann had a passion for creation, especially painting and ceramics. She loved science fiction and Harry Potter. She was a proud Slytherin.
Mary Ann was a lifelong Lego fan, she enjoyed collecting Harry Potter and Star Wars sets as well as building many of her own custom designs.
Mary Ann was also a dedicated Martial Artist. She had been training for several years and was loved and respected by everyone she trained with. She had made many friends and touched many lives.
Mary Ann is survived by her parents, Charles and Sarah; her older brother, David; younger sister, Jennifer; sister-in-law, Lourdes; two nieces, and a loving extended family. Mary Ann was an extremely loving and compassionate person. She will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Stuarts Draft Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. Those wishing to attend are asked to please wear a facial mask and practice social distancing.
