Thomas Harrison Harper

Thomas Harper was born on December 9, 1960, in Nottoway, VA the son of the late Joe Gregory and Ida Mae Harper-Holloway. Thomas was educated in the Virginia School System at Washington Lee High School. Thomas also went to trade school to help assist him in his career as a mail clerk. Thomas was the director of BME Mail Delivery and Packaging Company for over 15 years. He served with other mailing and packaging companies, as he loved the work in which he was able to perform as a tech and leader. After working several years in this occupation and he then became an engineer at the Embassy Suites. Thomas had a personal relationship with God at an early age although he was not an active member in church, he knew the Lord. Thomas met and married the love of his life the mother of his 7 children Yolanda Tracy Noble Rodgers on March 19, 1993. Thomas was a devoted husband and father to his family for 29 years. He was truly known to be a person that would come to your aide in a moment. The brightness of his eyes came when his children became parents, he fell in love all over again with his grandchildren. Thomas Harrison Harper, age 61, of Richmond, VA passed away Monday, August 29, 2022, at VCU Medical Center in Richmond, VA. Thomas is preceded in death by his son Isaac Harper, his Parents, brother Charlie Harper. He is survived by his wife Yolanda Harper six children, Isaiah Harper (Jayvonne), Joshua Harper, Modesty Harper, Noah Harper, Savanah Harper, Bethany Harper, one granddaughter Ziyah Harper two grandsons Ziyon & Zay’mari Harper one brother, Henry Harper, two sisters Caroline Harper, Loretta Harper, mother in law Stella Rodgers, father in law Eugene Noble , two brother in laws Sean (Shelia) Noble, Shane (Sonja) Noble 5 sisters in laws Gweneva Rodger, Franshon Smith, Shelley (Richard) Jones, Shana Manning, Raquel (Darrel) Grant and a host of relatives and friends. A celebration of life for Thomas will be held Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Rd, Stafford, Virginia 22554.
